Compatibility, setup, and shipping—before you strap in.

No. WolfMotion is an independent hardware brand.
Our trackers are SlimeVR-compatible, meaning they work with the SlimeVR software and ecosystem.
WolfMotion trackers work with: • SteamVR • VRChat • Quest (PCVR and standalone with setup) • Vive • Valve Index • Other SteamVR-compatible headsets
No. WolfMotion trackers do not require base stations.
They are IMU-based trackers and work independently using the SlimeVR system over your WiFi network, so you can use full-body tracking without base stations or external cameras.
Yes. The trackers come fully assembled with straps and everything needed to start tracking out of the box. No additional hardware is required.
Battery life is typically 10–12 hours depending on usage and WiFi conditions.
Trackers are set up using the SlimeVR app. For first-time setup: 1. Connect a tracker to your PC/SlimeVR app using the included Micro USB data cable 2. Enter your WiFi credentials 3. After setup, the trackers connect wirelessly over your WiFi network
No. Everything required to use the trackers is included. You only need: • A Windows PC capable of running SteamVR or Quest 2/3 Standalone • A WiFi network with 2.4GHz support • SlimeVR software
No. SlimeVR is not supported on macOS, so the trackers require a Windows PC.
Yes, but setup is different compared to PC VR.
There are video tutorials available on YouTube, and we also have guides linked in our Discord to help with standalone Quest setup.
This is almost always a 2.4GHz WiFi issue. The trackers require a 2.4GHz WiFi network. Many modern routers combine 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, and sometimes 2.4GHz must be enabled manually in your router or ISP app. Make sure: • Your router supports 2.4GHz • The 2.4GHz network is enabled • Your PC and trackers are on the same network
All IMU-based trackers can experience some drift over time.
There are calibration methods and tips that greatly reduce drift.
We have a drift guide video linked in our Discord that helps a lot.
